Good morning!! I hope you all are having a GREAT week so far :) I'm just getting in from my MS treatment and running behind on posting my birthday card for Kathy! I'm sure everyone knows who I'm talking about but just in case Kathy is the owner of Peachy Keen Stamps! Yup, those AWESOME face stamps that we all so LOVE!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LADY!! You are so very special to sooooo many people and I hope today is one of your BEST birthday's yet!!

Everyone is surprising her by uploading their cards to The Peachy Place on facebook. I've got mine added there but wanted to share with you here too :)

I'm not sure if the sets I used are still available but for my snowmen I used PK-153 Snow me a Man & PK-149 Happy Snowman w/Label. I colored them both with my copic markers. I added some stardust stickles to add some sparkle. The snowflakes are from the set, PK-148 Snow Gifts. I've added the stickles to the center of these too! The sentiment is from the Snow me a Man set which I listed above :)

I've got one other project scheduled for this Friday but after that I may be taking a small break till after the Holidays :) It's been so crazy around here that I haven't got a lot of crafting time in :( I'm sure everything will get back to normal after Ho Ho comes hee hee!! With the new year around the corner there will be new things happening! I'm excited and can't wait to share my news! MCT Monday Made In Minutes

Good morning! I hope you all had a GREAT weekend! I'm sorry I haven't been around lately it seems like the last few weeks have been super busy! I'm sure it's only going to get worse! I'm still not through with my Christmas shopping ugh!

Today is Made In Minutes Monday over at My Creative Time and trust me I threw this card together so fast! I've been out all day and didn't get home to late! I still have tons to do before I can even think of going to bed so my crafting time was very limited!

I love this little puppy from the set, Christmas Doggy! I think he's so cute! I colored him using my copics. I stamped his Santa hat on a separate piece of cardstock and then hand cut it out. The little antlers are from the set, Oh Deer. I made him a cool dude by adding some glasses from the die set, Winter Snowman. I also used the word dies that are included in the Oh Deer set. I cut those from gold glitter cardstock. The bottom sentiment is from the set, More of My Favorite Sayings. I had my best friend in mind when I was making this! Since we were little she's always been my partner in crime hee hee! I picked up a bag of this snow from Hobby Lobby when they first put out the Christmas crafts. I used some glossy accents to apply it :) The stitched frame was made using the Stitched Rectangular Frames & More set. I have to confess I had this already on my work table and added it last minute lol!

I hated SO BAD that I missed last week's Five Days of Christmas :( Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday! I love making Christmas cards!! This year time is just not on my side :( I do hope soon I will be able to lock myself in my craft room and get some much needed crafty time! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a AWESOME Monday! Hugs, Leanne

Believe in the magic of Christmas!

Hello! I hope everyone is having a great week! Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I'm really looking forward to spending time with my family! We usually have lunch at my mom's and then supper at my in laws. This year we are splitting it up! My mom's tomorrow and my mother in law's Friday. Holiday's are still hard without daddy and now this will be our first without my father in law :( I guess holiday's will never be the same without them but hopefully over time it will get easier.

Anyhoo, I have a card I would like to share with you today! I actually made this last week but haven't had a chance to share! I have to say this is probably one of my favorite Christmas cards I've made! The silhouette of the children coming down the stairs is from the Silhouette store. I used MCT's Grainy Wood background stamp. I heat embossed it using clear embossing powder and then sponged it using Tim Holtz distress ink. I used the new window die from the set, Stitched Window dies & Accessories. For outside scene, I used the set Santa Claus by CTMH for Santa and his sleigh. The trees are a Stampin up set, Lovely As a Tree. I stamped both of these in black and then sponged over them using Tim Holtz distress ink in pumice stone. I then added some liquid applique for the snow.

I always add a sentiment to the front of my card but this time I wanted to add to the inside instead! I used the set Boughs of Holly for the die cut word believe and also for the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by! Happy Thanksgiving!
HUGE hugs, Leanne

I decided to give it another go on making a shaker card! This one came out better wooo hooo! I made the circle using the Bunch of Fun Circle die set. The patterned background paper is some from my stash. I used the new snowman dies from this release to fill my shaker. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the little bow. I made the little loop using the Gift Card Sentiment set. I just curved the stitch stamp on my block and then stamped it. I used the Boughs of Holly stamp set for the pine branches. The sentiment is from this release, Snow Buddies. I forgot to add that I used the Stitched Rectangular Frames & More set too!

MCT 38th Edition Sneak Peek day two!

Good morning!! Welcome back to day two of MCT's sneak peek week! Today we will be sharing peeks from two new sets, Stitched Window & Accessories and Window Sentiments & Flowers.

I had so much fun making my card! I will admit, I spent way more time on this card then I normally do! To start, I embossed the background with the Tim Holtz brick embossing folder. I then used my watercolors to paint it. I used my heat tool to speed up the drying. For my window and window planter, I heat embossed the Grainy Wood background stamp on another piece of cardstock. I sponged several different ink colors to achieve the wood look. I then die cut the window and planter from it. This set also includes a curtain die!! I cut it from some pattern paper. I placed a piece of acetate between the curtain and window. Next, I traced the window die to place on the back (for the wall) I sponged it with some ink. The little wine bottles were left over from the set, Way To Go. I used this set for the bike. I then used the die for the flowers and cut it out three times. I stamped the flowers and colored them with my copic markers. For the other two, I sponged them using green ink and trimmed them down for my little bushes/grass. I stamped a sentiment directly on the background from the Window Sentiments & Flowers. I also used my Stardust jellyroll pen and went over parts of the bike and the center of flowers for a little sparkle. Here is another look from the side....

I absolutely LOVE these two sets!! Thanks for dropping by today and I'll be back tomorrow with day three sneaks!! Have a AWESOME day!
Hugs, Leanne

MCT 38th Edition Sneak Peek Day One!

Good morning! I hope everyone had a AWESOME weekend! Brrr it sure has turned cold!!! Did I mention how bad I HATE cold weather?!! It's also been raining here so double YUCK!! Anybody living in a tropical paradise want to adopt me for a few months :) :) :)

Today starts our sneak peek week! Emma has definitely knocked it out of the park again with this release! Today we are featuring a new die set, Stitched Scallop Oval set!

For some reason, I'm kinda stuck on wanting to do shaker cards! I think it's because I have yet to get one to be perfect lol!! I either add to much stuff to shake or like for this card not enough :( I haven't learned how to judge the right amount to put in! With this card, I was scared if I put to much the sentiment would be covered up but obviously I still had more room lol! Anyhoo, even though you can't tell by the photo in real life it does shake snow hee hee!

I created my background using the Build A Chevy background set. The reindeer is from the set, Oh Deer. I added some gold stickles to his nose, antlers, and a few random dots around him. The sentiment is from the set, A Day in December. I used the Medium Stitched Scallop Bow die and cut it from glitter gold cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come back tomorrow for day two's sneak! You're going to LOVE this release! Bundle up and stay warm!
Hugs, Leanne

Holiday Card Workshop 2014 Day 6!

Hello peeps! To get started, I want to say "Happy Veteran's Day"! Today is a day to honor all those that have served our country in the past and present. Thank you to all the brave men and women for all your service and everything you do for our country!

I would like to share with you a card I made for the online card class. Today is day six and the focus was on coloring. Something that I like to do but also something that I need more practice with hee hee! The tree background is a stamp by Hero Arts that I picked up at Hobby Lobby awhile back. The church and sentiment are from CTMH, Christmas Village. The little deers are from a retired CTMH set, The Beauty of Christmas. I used My Creative Times, Stitched Rectangular Frames & More to make the tiny white frame around the edges and also for what I stamped my scene on.

I've really enjoyed taking this class! It's been so much fun! I hope you have enjoyed my "homework" projects hee hee! Christmas is my favorite Holiday for making cards! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a AWESOME day!

Holiday Card Workshop 2014 Day 5!

Hello! Are you getting sick of me yet?!! I sure hope not lol! I'm back to share my project for day five of the Holiday Card Workshop online class. Today's class focused on tags!

I do have to admit I struggle with tags! I think it's because it's a lot smaller work area?! Not sure, but if you have followed my blog for a while I'm not a big tag maker lol! I do make some for Christmas but they are usually last minute and not fancy at all!! After making this one, a few more ideas started popping in my head! Now finding the time to make them before I forget....that's the real challenge!

Anyhoo, I started out by cutting out my tags using MCT's Just Tag set. I do love that these two layer! I then used a retired CTMH stamp set called, The Beauty of Christmas. It was even retired when I was a CTMH Consultant but I found someone selling it online and had to have it! The sentiment is from the MCT's Christmas Doggy set. I used liquid applique for the snow.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a GREAT rest of the day!
Hugs, Leanne

Holiday Card Workshop 2014 Day Four!

Hello! I'm back with one more card to share with you for day four of the online Holiday Card Workshop class! I'm loving doing the one layer cards! I was moving on to day five and the idea for this card would not get out of my head lol!!

Let me start out by saying sorry for the crummy photo! The sun is hiding today and it makes getting decent pictures hard! I've got tons of Close to My Heart stamp sets that I never get a chance to play with so this week I've been dragging out a few and getting them inky :) I've used a set from one of last years cardmaking workshop called Laughing Lola. I love the sunburst image in this set! I also used the cute doggy from MCT's Chrstmas Doggy stamp set. I stamped him first and then stamped him again to make a mask. I then stamped the sunburst over him. I used my copic markers to color him. I added some liquid applique to his Santa Hat. I used a sentiments that was included in the stamp set. It's not perfect by a long shot but I still think he turned out kinda cute!

I'll be back to share my project for day five real soon! I'm about to get caught up hee hee! Have a AWESOME day! Hugs, Leanne

Holiday Card Works! I! hop 2014 Day Four

Hello! I am LOVING all the great projects they are sharing with us in the Holiday Card Workshop! These classes are just so much FUN!!

For day four the focus is on one layered cards. I used Jennifer McGuire's card for my inspiration. I love how she shared the tip on how to cut this out as all one layer! I used one of the circles from the die set, Bunch of Fun Circle set. The deer and sentiment are from the set, Oh Deer. I did heat emboss the sentiment with white embossing powder. I then used some Tim Holtz distress inks and the negative space from the circle to create the little background. I used liquid applique for the snow. This is not showing up so well in the photo but I did use some stickles on his nose and also around his feet.

I guess this has me caught up or at least on the ones that I have completed! I'll be back to share more just as soon as I get them completed! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by!
Hugs, Leanne

Holiday Card Workshop 2014 Day Three

Hi ya! I'm back to share my card I made for the online card class, Holiday Card Workshop 2014! For day three the focus is on watercoloring!

This card was super quick and easy but oh so fun to make! I love playing with watercolors! A few months back they offered a watercolor class and I so wished I could of taken it! That is one for sure I will be going back and taking just as soon as I can! To start off, I used a retired stamp set from CTMH. It was one that came in a workshop on the go last Christmas. I heat embossed the sentiment and snowflakes using white embossing powder. I then used my water colors to paint my background. I used my heat tool to dry and then mounted onto my card base.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back shortly to share day four!
Hugs, Leanne

Holiday Card WorkShop 2014 Day Two

Hello :) I'm back to share with you the cards I made for day two in the Holiday Card Workshop online class! Today's focus was on interactive cards. This is something I struggle with so I LOVE that I was able to step out of my comfort zone and learn something new!

For my first card, the inspiration came from Jennifer McGuire's card. I love that this has a keepsake ornament that the recipient can keep! She used a photo of her family on the back of her's and I will definitely keep that idea as a option for my next one! I used the Springtime in Paris set for the flourish. I randomly stamped it and then added some gold stickles to help fill in. I used a circle from the Bunch of Fun Circle dies to cut a circle from the background. I then used the same circle and cut it out 4 more times. On the front of my ornament I used a retired stamp set from CTMH, Glory to God. I heat embossed it using gold embossing powder. To hold the ornament in place I used a piece of vellum and added the die cut word believe from the Boughs of Holly set

Here is a peek with the ornament out...

I used the same set, Glory to God for the scripture on the back of my ornament. The To & From are from the set, Gift Card Sentiments. I now wished I would have found a different font to use but I had this set out on my desk and it was the quickest to grab lol!

For my next interactive card, I decided to try a shaker card! I still need more practice with these! This card gave me fits and I swear I will be stepping on little beads the rest of my life! Those little suckers went EVERYWHERE!!

I used two of the rectangular dies from the Stitched Rectangular Frames & More set to create a frame. I then stamped it using the Grainy Wood Background stamp. The snowy hills and trees were cut from my cameo. I found this file in the Silhouette store.  The deer and the sentiment are from the set, Oh deer set. I used liquid applique for the snow.

Even though I'm not just over the moon happy with how this turned out I still had fun making it! I guess practice makes you better and I need practice lol!!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back to share with you day three projects!
Hugs, Leanne

Holiday Card Workshop 2014 Day One

I'm having so much fun taking the Holiday Card Workshop 2014 online class! It started this past Monday. My hubby has been on vacation this week so I've been sneaking in crafting every chance I can get!!

Day one's class is all about cards that are easy to duplicate. I used two of the examples that Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire shared for my inspiration :) My first card, I used some lighter blue card stock and then sponged some darker blue ink to create my night sky. I made a stencil from one of the circle dies from the Bunch of Fun Circle die set and sponged it using White Daisy ink from CTMH. Santa and his sleigh are from the set, Santa Claus by CTMH. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's, Boughs of Holly. Kristina used texture paste and a stencil for her snow but I don't own either so I went with liquid applique :) I decided to add just a little pop of red by adding a small bow to the sleigh. Last, I used my white jellyroll pen and added stitching.

For my next card, I used Jennifer's card as my inspiration. I have to say this one (to me) was a little more difficult lol! Once you get your stamps all lined up where you want it's not that bad but getting to that point I about pulled my hair out!! Jennifer's is wayyy prettier but I was determined to make it work and I didn't give up lol!! All sentiments are by My Creative Time. I used several different sets... A Day in December, Christmas Doggy Stamp set, From Our Family to Yours, All Around Christmas, Gift Card Sentiments and possibly more I forgot to write them all down lol! I used a Martha Stewart punch for my bow. I punched it out of silver glitter card stock and a added a gem to the center. I also used some silver stickles to help fill in the gaps. I colored the Santa suit with a red copic marker and then added liquid applique to the collar, cuffs, and at the bottom. I used the tree trunk from the set, Seasonal Greetings as a mask and sponged it using Saddle ink.

Here's a peek at it from the side....

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be posting day two in just a little bit :)
Hugs, Leanne
